Educational Videos- India

I decided to post up 4 educational videos from National Geographic. =) They are regarding 4 ancient taboo subjects in India that very little Singaporeans know about- The Anghori Sect, Cremation, Goat Fetus and Eunuchs. I hope you'll enjoy them! If you do, please leave a feedback at the Guestbook cbox. Thanks!

The Aghori are a Hindu sect believed to have split off from the Kapalika order. However, most other Hindus condemn them as non-Hindu because of their cannibalistic rituals. Aghoris or Aughads command extreme reverence from rural populations as they are supposed to possess powers to heal and relieve pain gained due to their intense practices.

Cremation in India
Only members of a lower caste can touch the dead bodies and perform cremations. As a side incomes, they get to keep whatever bits of Gold they can find amongst the ashes.

Goat fetus is taboo delicacy that is supposedly very tender and juicy. It is highly taboo because it require killing a pregnant goat when the fetus is just "right" where is has enough meat and still hairless.

Eunuchs in India are celebrities in their own right and believe to possess special powers. I really respect them for their inner strength and courage to live their dreams in a world where they are treated as a seperate gender due to their "abnormality".
